Are Plastic Valve Tags Right for You?
The ABS plastic valve tags we provide have a high strength-to-density ratio. That is to say, they’re quite durable against strong impacts, scratches and corrosive chemicals. And, they’re resistant to hot and cold weather conditions. However, they’re not suitable for high temperature applications. ABS plastic contains no known toxic carcinogens, and there are no known adverse health effects related to exposure to ABS plastic. It’s also recyclable.
Our 1/16″ thick (2-ply) plastic valve tags are composed of a colored surface layer, followed by either a white or black colored layer to contrast with the surface color. Our 1/8″ thick (3-ply) plastic valve tags are composed of a color surface layer, the same surface layer on the back, and either a white or black internal layer. Engraving goes through the top surface layer to expose the black or white contrasting layer. So, this results in your text and graphics being highly legible!
