Blank Aluminum Valve Tags are the best choice when you need colored valve tags for color-coding. Anodizing the aluminum allows for it to be dyed with any color. The dye is applied to the porous surface of the aluminum. Then, in a second step, we seal that dye into the pores of the aluminum under a transparent sapphire hard oxidation layer. Hence, this layer is not a coating, but a permanent part of the aluminum.
Inland Products offers blank anodized aluminum valve tags in 11 colors for your Laser or Mechanical Engraving needs. We can do custom colors if the quantity is high enough to justify a custom run. In addition, we can make any custom size or shape tag you may need. So, please don’t hesitate to ask our sales department if you need anything that you don’t see on our website.
Are Blank Anodized Aluminum Valve Tags right for you?
Aluminum Valve Tags are the lightest weight and most economically priced tags we offer. And, they’re by far the most popular with our customer base.
We do not, however, recommend aluminum tags for applications where they’ll be exposed to temperatures over 500 degrees Fahrenheit. At these higher temperatures the color will quickly fade, making the laser etching very difficult to read. But, if the tags are rotary engraved, they may remain easier to read because of the depth of the engraving.
With this in mind, if your application requires the valve tags to hold up to high temperatures, we recommend either our brass valve tags, which are capable of withstanding temperatures of over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit, or our stainless steel valve tags. They’ll withstand temperatures over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Additional Material Options: Brass Valve Tags, Stainless Steel Valve Tags, or Plastic Valve Tags
