Blank Metal Tags for Engraving and Stamping

Inland Products has been manufacturing blank metal tags for engraving since 1988, and we have steadily improved our processes and capabilities while upgrading to state of the art equipment, determined to become the industry-leading supplier of engraving blanks. We are now in a position that allows us to offer better prices than any other American manufacturer and to be very competitive even with overseas suppliers.

Our blank metal tags are sold both to companies that engrave or stamp them and sell them to their customers, and companies that personalize them for their use in daily business activities. There has been a steady rise in the number of businesses buying our tags and choosing to engrave them in house due to the increase in the availability of affordable laser engraving machines on the market today.

Blank Metal Tags Are Available in Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Brass.

Anodized Aluminum

If you need colored metal tags, then anodized aluminum is the right material for you. Blank anodized aluminum tags are available in twelve colors, and can be used for color-coding or matching a team, company, or organization color. Aluminum tags are also lightweight and the anodized surface is very scratch-resistant.

When our anodized aluminum is rotary engraved, the engraving is silver in color in contrast to the surface color. When it is laser engraved, the color of the engraving is white in contrast to the surface color. The engraving will aways show up better with darker surface colors because the contrast is higher.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is the toughest material we offer because stainless steel is a very hard and corrosion-resistant metal.

When our stainless steel is rotary engraved, the engraving is easy to read because of its depth. When our stainless steel is laser engraved there is a large contrast because the engraving is black compared to the shiny stainless surface.

Stainless steel can be engraved with a C02 laser if the tag is coated with a special chemical spray, or they can be engraved with a fiber laser without the need for the coating.

Stainless steel blanks are available in Type 430 which is the most common, Type 304 which is more resistant to corrosion and Type 316 for applications demanding extreme corrosion resistance.

Brass

Brass remains a favorite with many of our customers due to the corrosion resistance and good looks.

Our brass is available in a decorative lacquer coated finish for projects that require a clean finished look. Brass is also available in an industrial tumbled and polished finish.

When brass is rotary engraved, the engraving is easy to read because of its depth. When brass tags are laser engraved there is a big contrast as the engraving is dark brown in contrast to the brass. Brass can be engraved with a fiber laser but CO2 lasers will not work due to the different wavelengths of CO2 lasers.

Blank Metal Tags Can Be Made in Any Custom Shape or Size Up to 24" x 48"

We can make custom sizes and shapes using our laser cutting machines. If you require large quantities at the lowest per piece price possible, we can make a die to produce them much more efficiently and at a much better price than laser cut tags.
